The year 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the introduction of effective antiretroviral therapy. With advances in medicine and the success of Hong Kong’s prevention and control efforts, HIV infection is now a manageable chronic disesase. In view of this, the Government will adopt a more diversified collaborative approach to support community stakeholders (including non-governmental organisations) in participating in HIV prevention and control efforts, and will launch the following two programmes starting 1st April 2026.
