What’s New - “Travel Safe Condom Saves Life” Health Promotion Activity at Macau Ferry Terminal  05/03/2018

A health promotion activity “Travel Safe Condom Saves Life”, organised by Red Ribbon Centre, Department of Health, will be held around the holidays of the Easter and Ching Ming Festival at Macau Ferry Terminal to provide health information on how to prevent HIV and sexually transmitted infections. During the activity, pamphlets, souvenirs and free condoms will be distributed.

What’s New - Roving Exhibition on “Women and AIDS “ and “AIDS, Test Early, Treat Early “  05/03/2018

A roving exhibition on HIV/AIDS is going to be held to enhance knowledge and awareness of the public to the disease and its prevention methods. At the exhibition venue, pamphlets and souvenirs will be distributed.

Click to enlarge the graph showing Annual and Cumulative HIV/AIDS Statistics in Hong KongA total of 681 additional cases of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection were reported to the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) in 2017, compared with 692 in 2016.

Reviewing the HIV/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) situation in Hong Kong at a press conference today (February 27), the Consultant (Special Preventive Programme) of the CHP, Dr Kenny Chan, said that sexual transmission remained the major mode of HIV transmission.

What’s New - World AIDS Campaign 2017 – "Know AIDS‧No AIDS" Creative School Projects on HIV/AIDS Prevention Award Presentation Ceremony  01/11/2017

Under the theme "Know AIDS‧No AIDS", the Red Ribbon Centre is collaborating with the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (FPAHK) to launch a series of school projects on HIV/AIDS prevention to raise awareness on AIDS. Activities include a Student Ambassador Campaign and student-led school projects. A ceremony to commemorate the World AIDS Campaign and share of the Creative School Projects on HIV/AIDS Prevention will be hold 3:30pm on 18 November 2017 in 3/F, Function Area C, iSQUARE, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

The ceremony will include performances by students of two participating schools and popular singer Phil Lam. All are welcome.


“Red Ribbon in Action” AIDS Educating Funding Scheme 2018 (Phase II) invites application  01/11/2017

The Red Ribbon Centre would like to invite local community groups, including seniors, women, youth groups, kaifong welfare association as well as those at work or at schools, to apply for the "Red Ribbon in Action" AIDS Education Funding Scheme.
